Silicon Valley Score has 65 men and women who can advise you on starting or improving a small business. Our counselors have a variety of skills and business experience: including accounting, consulting, distribution, financial planning, franchising, government contracting, human resources, marketing, operations, publishing, retail, strategic planning, technology and nonprofit management. We like to match our counselor’s background with the nature of your business needs. Let us know what type of assistance you are looking for when you call to make an appointment.

Our one-hour counseling sessions are complimentary. You may arrange as many follow-on sessions as required.

You might also be interested in our workshops - a good complement to counseling.  If you don't know where to start, we suggest the workshop for start-ups. 

Companies that have been in business longer than two years that need more extensive coaching might consider our existing business mentoring.

We provide counseling at our office in the San Jose Entrepreneur Center and through the Chambers of Commerce locations noted below.  To arrange a session at a Chamber of Commerce location, please call the Chamber's number.

One hour sessions generally start between 9:30AM to 12:30AM.  Milpitas and Mountain View start at 9:00AM.  A few evening sessions are offered at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library in San Jose, 2nd Tuesday of the month.  Locations below marked with an "*" are Chamber of Commerce locations.

Please show up at 5 minutes before your appointment - the first rule of business is "be on time".

After you make an appointment you should be mailed a "641 form" to fill out (up to question 38).  If you don't have this form, you can download it by clicking here.  The form is required before counseling starts.
